What is conversational AI?
Technology that lets people talk or type to software in ordinary language and get useful replies.
Conversational AI, explained
Conversational AI covers chatbots, voice assistants and AI voice agents. Modern systems use large language models to understand intent and generate replies, rather than fixed decision trees.
For phone calls, conversational AI is combined with speech recognition and speech synthesis so the whole exchange happens by voice.
